You can customize the way the Terminal looks to fit your needs and preferences. Right-click the Terminal icon and select “Settings” from the menu. When the installation is complete, a Terminal window will open. Choose your preferred username and disk size and click “Install”. This will bring up a window with a series of prompts. On the Terminal / Emulation page of the SecureCRT Session Options dialog, set the emulation to Xterm.

Using the mouse with remote applications such as vi/vim or emacs requires SecureCRT to be configured with the appropriate emulation settings to convince the remote editor/application that it should send Xterm escape sequences for mouse control.
